There aren’t any closed fishing seasons. You can fish beautiful Lake Shoals day and night year-round. Fishing is best at daylight and after dark during the summer. Night fishing for walleye and crappie is very popular. Spearfishing, now fishing, and scuba diving are popular due to their excellent underwater visibility.

Bull Shoals is home to many species of bass, walleye, catfish, trout, and panfish, with largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, and spotted bass being the primary species.
